The type of information we have
We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Identity data (for example, name and date of birth)
  • Contact data (for example, email address and telephone number)
  • Marketing data (for example, your preferences in receiving marketing from us)
  • Professional data (for example, any information we collect in the course of providing services to you).

We do not collect any special categories of personal data (as defined in legislation, and including details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

How we get the information and why we have it
The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you through your correspondence by phone, email or post, and to our staff in meetings.

We collect this data for the following reasons:

  • To allow us to respond to enquiries that you make about our professional services or as a potential recruit
  • To make suggestions about services that may be of interest to you
  • To provide our professional services to you.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  • We have a legitimate interest
  • We have a contractual obligation
  • Your consent. You can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting our Data Privacy Manager as shown above.

What we do with the information we have
We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • Engage in discussions with a view to entering into a contract with you
  • Perform a contract we have entered into with you
  • Provide information about our services to you.

We do not share your personal data with third parties.

How we store your information
Your information is securely stored in electronic form in the United Kingdom. We have put in place security measures to prevent your data from being lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We have procedures to deal with any suspected data breach, and will notify you and the ICO of a breach where we are required to do so.

We only keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which we have collected it, including for the purposes of meeting legal and regulatory requirements.

Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

How to complain
You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please contact us in the first instance.
